DEFINITIONS

In these utu Miles Terms and Conditions, the following words shall have the following meaning:

“Airline Partner”	:	shall mean any of the airlines which utu has partnered with.
“Euros”	:	shall mean the currency and monetary unit of the European Union.
“Miles Program”	:	shall mean the utu frequent flyer and hotel loyalty conversion program.
“Hotel Partner”	:	Shall mean any of the hotels which utu has partnered with.
“Utu Miles Terms”	:	shall mean this utu Miles Terms and Conditions.

ACCEPTANCE OF UTU MILES TERMS
1. These utu Miles Terms shall govern the use of the Miles Program offered by utu. By participating in this Miles Program, the User acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Utu Miles Terms and the utu General Terms and Conditions. The utu General Terms and Conditions shall be read together with these utu Miles Terms.
ASSESS TO MILES PROGRAM
1. The User must choose the Miles Program as the User’s preferred option for tax refund and also select a Airline Partner or Hotel Partner of which the User has a pre-existing membership account with.
2. The User may, through the Utu App, at any time change the User’s preferred Airline Partner or Hotel Partner.
3. User must ensure, that the User’s preferred Airline Partner or Hotel Partner membership account is linked with the User’s utu account.
4. This Miles Program shall only be available to User’s which have existing frequent flyer membership accounts with any of the Airline Partner or existing membership accounts with any of the Hotel Partners.
CONVERSION
1. User acknowledges and agrees that all tax refunds received by utu in any currency by any VAT Refund Operator (“VRO”) on behalf of the User, shall be in Euros. utu shall not be liable for any loss due to any currency exchange charges.
2. All tax refunds received will be converted to utu Miles. Following, the utu Miles will be converted to the User’s chosen Airline Partner frequent flyer miles or Hotel Partner points and will be credited to the User’s chosen Airline Partner frequent flyer account or Hotel Partner membership account.
3. The conversion rate of utu Miles to any Airline Partner frequent flyer miles, will be determined by the respective Airline Partners and is subject to change from time to time without notice to the User. User may refer to the refund calculator on the Utu App to check the conversion rate for each of the respective Airlines Partner.
4. The conversion rate of utu Miles to any Hotel Partner points, will be determined by the respective Hotel Partner and is subject to change from time to time without notice to the User. User may refer to the refund calculator on the Utu App to check the conversion rate of each Hotel Partner.
5. The User may only convert utu Miles strictly into the User’s own frequent flyer membership account or Hotel Partner membership account, as any conversion using this Miles Program are not allowed to be transferred to any frequent flyer membership account or Hotel Partner membership account that does not belong to the same User.
6. The User agrees and acknowledges that once a conversion request is submitted, it may not be cancelled. Any utu Miles that have been converted and credited to the User’s preferred frequent flyer membership account or Hotel Partner membership account, it cannot be converted back to utu Miles.
7. The conversion of utu Miles to frequent flyer miles or Hotel Partner points, shall take a maximum of ten (10) working days from the date, utu receives the User’s VAT refund from the VRO.
USER OBLIGATION
1. The User agrees that the User is responsible for ensuring the User’s membership account with the respective Airline Partner or Hotel Partner is valid and active at the time of submitting a conversion request using the Miles Program.
2. The User shall be responsible for providing accurate and matching details of:
  - the User’s membership account number for each respective Airline Partner or Hotel Partner;
  - full Name (first and last name);
  - mobile Number; and/or
  - email address.
    of which the User has furnished when registering with their preferred Airline Partner or Hotel Partner.
DISCLAIMER
1. All utu Miles converted to frequent flyer miles or Hotel Partner points are under no circumstances refundable.
2. Any partial conversions from utu Miles to frequent flyer miles or Hotel Partner points are not allowed.
NOTICES
1. Any notices in relation to the Miles Program shall be sent to the User via the Utu App, and shall be deemed delivered when the notification has been delivered to the User’s inbox on the Utu App.
2. utu will provide updates on the status of each conversion through the Utu App.
3. Users will be notified through the Utu App, when the conversion under the Miles Program have been successfully credited to the User’s preferred Airline Partner membership account or Hotel Partner membership account (please allow up to three (3) business days for the transaction to be reflected).
LIABILITY
1. utu shall not be liable for any damages or loss for any incorrect utu Miles conversion, if that incorrect utu Miles conversion was due to the inaccurate details provided by the User.
2. utu will not be held liable for any damages, loss or inconvenience caused to the User, including but not limited to financial losses or any other indirect or consequential damages, in the event the VRO delays or does not transfer the User’s tax refund to utu for any reason whatsoever.
GENERAL
1. utu reserves the right to amend, modify and/or supplement these utu Miles Terms without notice to the User.
2. utu reserves the right to amend, remove, or add to the list of Airline Partners or Hotel Partners under this Miles Program and is subject to change without notice to the User.
3. Once the utu Miles have been converted into the User’s chosen Airline Partner or Hotel Partner membership account, it will be subject to the terms and conditions of the respective Airline Partner or Hotel Partner.
